Privacy policy
Last updated November 5, 2026
Yias Industries ("ToolCut", "we") runs this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions go to our privacy contact at info@ctindustries.ca.
What we collect
- Form answers: company details, the software you report, your spending range if you share it, your most repetitive job, and anything else you choose to write.
- Contact details: your name, work email, optional phone number, and how and when you prefer to be reached.
- Consent records: what you agreed to and when.
- Campaign details: the referring website and campaign tags in the link you followed.
- Basic usage: pages viewed and whether the assessment was started or finished. This uses a random ID that lasts for your browser tab. We do not use advertising cookies and do not store your IP address in our analytics. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, page tracking is off.
The assessment never asks for passwords or account credentials. Please do not enter them, or any sensitive personal information, in free-text answers.
How we use it
- To review your assessment and respond to your inquiry.
- To prioritize which inquiries to review first, using a scoring rule based on your answers. This does not make any decision with a legal or similar effect on you.
- To prepare your scan. We may use an AI service to help review the tools you listed and suggest automation ideas. We leave out your name, email, phone number, company name and website, but anything you wrote in your own words is included. Software names you listed may be searched on the web to find public prices. A person reviews the result before we share any advice.
- To protect the site from spam and abuse.
- To understand how the website performs in aggregate.
- To send you marketing emails, only if you opted in separately. You can withdraw that consent at any time.
Service providers
We use Cloudflare for hosting, the database and security checks (including Turnstile, which processes technical signals to detect bots). We use Anthropic's Claude API to help prepare software analyses. We may also use an email or messaging provider to send notifications. These providers can process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to local laws. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it
- Assessments that do not become customers are deleted automatically about 24 months after submission, unless a follow-up is still open.
- Records for customers are kept as long as needed for the relationship and for legal or accounting reasons.
- Website analytics events are deleted after about 13 months.
- Abuse-prevention records are deleted within about two days.
Your choices and rights
You can ask to access or correct your information, withdraw consent, or have your assessment deleted by emailing info@ctindustries.ca. We will confirm your request and may need to verify that it is yours. You can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or your provincial privacy regulator.
Security
The admin area requires authenticated access and information travels over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you of a breach where the law requires it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
